KBOX Overview
The KBOX Systems Management Appliance Series and the KBOX Systems Deployment Series make up the offerings from the KACE family of IT Solutions.
The appliance nature of both the KBOX Systems Management and KBOX Systems Deployment Series ensure a number of key design and market strategies.
The KBOX is complete. Each KBOX includes a comprehensive set of functions that equip an IT staff fully to manage their environment or deploy images into a distributed networked environment. Each KBOX solution is an integrated suite of functions. The hardware, OS, database and application of each KBOX is hardened, self administered, and self-healing to eliminate interference with existing processes. The KBOX does not interfere with any existing infrastructure but can leverage existing utilities (such as LDAP directory services).
The KBOX is operationally simple. A KBOX requires only electricity and an assigned IP address for installation on the network. To roll out the KBOX Systems Management Appliance an automatic scan of the network identifies PCs and servers and deploys the KBOX agent. The KBOX installs and implements in a matter of hours.
KBOX training, conducted virtually, is comprised of exercises that will guide a user through the KBOXes’ functions while completing work within your network. Deploy a software title to a department’s PCs; patch the OS for another group – all done while learning the patching and software distribution functions within the KBOX.
With its simple and elegant user-interface, all KBOX functions are clearly visible from main screens eliminating the need for on-going refresher training or expensive professional services support.
The KBOX through its complete packaging (hardware and software), straightforward installation and implementation, virtual training and operationally simple user-interface, is highly affordable for organizations with networks from 100 devices to networks of tens of thousands of devices.
